    The black embroidery includes colourful flowers. The tradition has been popular in Volyn and Halychyna since ancient times. This excellent embroidery is the national heritage. For many centuries, it has been an object to admire its beauty for numerous Ukrainian generations and not only. We chose it to decorate the blouse Barvy and adopted from Halychyna artisans something else, too. Namely, the sailor collar, unusual for embroidered shirts. It is also commonly called “Lady Mary’s” because Our Lady was depicted with such a collar on icons. It was used later on shirts as well.
